Discuss your requirements and preferences with our home consultants.
When a design is selected your home consultant will check if it is suitable for your land.
Your consultant can now prepare a Preliminary Estimate including modifications and requested items for your budget consideration. |
| Step 3 |
House and site costs
|
|
At this point a site inspection will be carried out and a contour plan prepared. A legible site plan showing bearings and dimensions is required along with Stormwater and sanitary sewer plan. This information is necessary to allow us to accurately cost the site preparation and the foundations. |
| Step 4 |
Decision to accept quotation and plan preparation |
|
Your consultant can now present you with a indicative quotation.
On acceptance of the quotation it will then be necessary to prepare the working drawings. This will require a draughting fee to be paid, the amount will depend on a number of factors and you will be advised of the cost up front.
In some cases a geotech and/or surveyors report may also be required.
When plans are complete, your consultant will arrange to check the plans with you.
The plans are then finalised and signed off by yourselves.

| Step 5 |
Contract documents and council building approval
|

A contract is prepared for your approval and signing together with a copy for your solicitor, valuer & financier.
The contract becomes unconditional on payment of the balance of deposit.
The building consent application is prepared and lodged with Council for approval. |
| Step 6 |
Colour selection finishes
|
|
Whilst your plans are in council you will need to select colours and finishes for your new home including kitchen units.
Our colour consultant will be available to assist you. |
| Step 7 |
Construction of house
|
|
Construction begins soon after Council approved plans are received.
Progress payments will then be due at various stages as per contract.
You will be introduced to your home's supervisor who can keep you informed on progress and discuss any issues which concern you. |
| Step 8 |
Handover - completion
|
|
When construction is complete, the house cleaned and the final check done for a Code of Compliance certificate you will be asked to inspect your new home with the supervisor. Once the home meets your approval a More Homes representative will meet you at your new home to present you with your new keys and welcome you to your families wonderful new home. |
| Step 9 |
Warranty
|
|
Your More Homes representative will advise you of your 36 months maintenance period and 10 years structural warranty. |
